How long have you been in Rotary? Jim Ash introduced me to Rotary, and I officially became a member of the Onalaska Rotary Club on April 3, 1978. Transferred to the Marshfield Rotary Club, and then transferred to our La Crosse-Valley View Rotary Club when we moved back to La Crosse in 1987.
Tell us about your service in Rotary: In the past I have served as the club’s YEO, president, treasurer, and also Rotary District 6250’s treasurer. Soon I will complete my 3-year term as District 6250’s Finance Committee chair (for the second time around).
What do you find most rewarding about Rotary? We have a daughter (a Rotary exchange student herself), two sons and eight grandchildren, plus four “daughters” from Germany, Australia, Denmark, and Taiwan (who is now living with her family in San Francisco). Our extended family of daughters certainly has been our most rewarding Rotary experience.
With all the time you spend on Rotary, when do you relax? Pat and I are fortunate to also have a lake house in northwest Wisconsin, where we can hide away when we feel the need to escape Onalaska.
(NOTE: This is the Downtown club but we're invited. I will be going
and hope others from our club can join me. Srs)
Join us at Camp Decorah to fellowship in the outdoors. Enjoy the views of the Black River, the stocked Trout Pond, or other sites such as the Bouldering Wall, Nature Trails, and Skilled Trades Post. Valley View Rotary has also been invited. Light snacks will be provided.
I really, REALLY hate to have to bring this up but, before we know it…and long before we’re ready…Ana will be moving on, so you’ll want to mark your calendars for her farewell party:
Wed, June 25th, 5:30-8pm
Village Park Shelter, Mill St. S
West Salem, WI
Information about signing up will follow soon.
