Greetings, Valley View Rotary family and friends!!!

Thank you to Dan Jorgenson for joining us last week via Zoom from Colorado to talk about his journey with Rotary and his passion for writing.  As he mentioned, he is happy to autograph any of his books, written directly to an individual or group. The book prices are $17.95 for And The Wind Whispered and Rainbow Rock and $7.95 for Killer Bilzzard, but to Rotarians the price is $15 for the first two and $7 for the last one.  His publisher, also a Rotarian donates to Rotary and he donates to Polio Plus from book sale proceeds.  He is also donating money from Rainbow Rock to the Rotary Adult Literacy effort.

Please join us this week for Club Assembly.  Our committees have been working hard and are eager to report!  We will hear an update from each committee during the allotted program time, and I will then send out a survey later in the week to collect feedback and gauge your interest levels in helping with our many club initiatives.  (Individual committees will not be meeting during the meeting.)

Here is the link to the Committee Membership Document which can be easily modified as desired:  https://portal.clubrunner.ca/11962/Documents/en-us/6d0e0266-b62d-49d4-9723-1eac29ea6939/1/.

If you would like to play a greater role in any of our committees or would like to join a new committee or participate in additional committee work, please let me know!  We are continuing to do great work this year and I am excited for what is to come!!!

Note: our 5 Committees are Moon Tunes, Vocational Service & New Generations, Community Service, International Service and Club Service.

See you Wednesday!

Bantry Sister City Hoolie Coulee Ceili Event is Saturday, March 25 (Saturday) at 6pm

VVR is supporting this event (through a Rotary Works Foundation Grant) to benefit two horse therapy organizations, HorseSense Inc., here in La Crosse, and Hairy Henry Care Farm in Bantry. Lucas Herro used HorseSense as part of his recovery journey. Éamonn de Cógáin, widely regarded as Ireland's most energetic caller, will lead the dancing. Live music will be provided by the *Coulee Hooligans.* Popular (and amazing) storyteller, Terry Visger (who has presented to our Club more than once), will share her Irish tales. There will be Irish-themed food and Silent Auction items donated by local businesses. Here is a link to more information on the event: 2023 Coulee Hoolie Ceili Fundraiser for LBFA, American Legion Auxiliary Unit#52 La Crosse, WI, March 25 2023 | AllEvents.in

This is not a series, it is a single opportunity, offered four days a year, at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. each of the four days. Remember! Fifth Wednesdays, 7 a.m. OR 7 p.m. email PDG Karen Hebert at karenrotarian@gmail.com for the link!
