Scott & Brad present Nancy with her Paul Harris +1 pin at the May 14th meeting
Longtime Valley View Rotarian Nancy Schmidt was honored with her Paul Harris Fellow +1 at the club’s meeting Wednesday, May 14.
Nancy is a native of La Crosse and has been a member of Valley View for nearly 32 years. She has been extremely involved in our club, helping with countless projects ranging from trail clean-up to Moon Tunes and Riverfest fencing. Most recently, she has been a vital link to the Youth Exchange program.
Nancy recently retired as the Business Office Manager of Benedictine Living Community of La Crosse, working there since 2014. Prior to that, she was the Provider Network Manager for La Crosse County Care Management Organization / Western Wisconsin Cares for 13 years and Business Manager for the La Crosse Visiting Nurses Association / Gundersen Lutheran Home Care, for 12 years.
Nancy holds a business administration degree from UW-La Crosse, graduating in 1985.
Brad presents Ed with his Paul Harris +7 pin at the May 21st meeting

Along with serving as our club’s president in 2000, Jaekel has been active in numerous club fundraisers and budgeting matters, and is known to cook a mean BBQ.
He is a vital link to the financial handlings for the club’s Moon Tunes. His other civic volunteering has included the United Way and the La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce.
