Longtime Valley View Rotarian Gary Brown received this Paul Harris Fellow +1 award at the July 23 meeting.
Gary attended Western Technical College and went on to obtain a Doctor of Education from St. Mary’s University in Minneapolis. He returned to Western and retired as Dean of the Business Division in June 2023 after completing more than 18 years of loyal and dedicated service to students, staff, and the District Board.
The Western District Board said the Rotarian led his team with honesty and integrity, put his faculty and staff first to better help students; and had a strong ability to identify and develop talent. He possessed a coaching style of leadership that inspired trust.
Gary joined the club in November 2005 and has been active in many club activities and community service projects. He served as club president in 2017-18.
Congratulating Gary is VVR Paul Harris Fellow coordinator Brad Quarberg.
