Terry Bauer Moon Tunes Special Projects Fund
Fund Objective:
The Terry Bauer Moon Tunes Special Project Fund helps support the projects and mission of the Valley View Rotary Club. The fund will support community programs and projects that benefit the Greater La Crosse Area that make the area a better place to live, work, play and visit. Beneficiaries include the arts, beautification, recreation, health and social well-being, with special emphasis given to music, music education and music-related programs.
The fund was created by the Valley View Rotary Club to recognize Bauer, the founder of the club’s popular summer concert series held in La Crosse’s Riverside Park. Moon Tunes, starting its 15th season, offers a free summer concert series that raises donations and awareness for the park’s bandshell renovation and other amenities. Friends and families bring lawn chairs, beverages and snacks and hear music from the area’s greatest musicians. Valley View Rotarians pass around buckets at intermission for donations.
